Doctor of Animal Science

 

The Doctor of Animal Science Study Program at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), was established to support the advancement of science, technology, and innovation in the field of animal sciences at the doctoral level. The program is designed to produce highly qualified graduates with strong analytical, research, and innovation capabilities, contributing to the development of sustainable livestock systems, particularly in tropical regions such as Indonesia.

The Doctor of Animal Science Study Program at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences at UNDIP offers several areas of specialization:

  • Animal Production
  • Animal Nutrition and Feed Science
  • Animal Product Technology
  • Livestock Agribusiness and Development Planning

This doctoral program emphasizes the development of advanced knowledge and research in tropical animal production systems, sustainable resource management, and the utilization of local livestock potential. It aims to strengthen scientific capacity and foster innovation to address global challenges in food security, environmental sustainability, and rural development.

The program provides academic pathways tailored to the needs of doctoral candidates:

  • Doctor by Research (focused on independent research and scientific publication leading to dissertation completion)
  • Fast Track Program (an integrated pathway allowing outstanding undergraduate students to continue seamlessly into doctoral studies through an accelerated scheme)
